About Us
Refuge Farm began in December of 2017. After battling chronic pain for over a year with no satisfying answers or solutions offered by conventional medicine, Emily began looking into the healing power of food. This journey introduced Emily and Cam to the idea of “food as medicine,” which led them to the practice of regenerative agriculture. They were both instantly fascinated by these two concepts and immediately cleaned up their diets to incorporate more whole foods, organic foods, pasture-raised meats and eggs, lots of vegetables, and they eliminated processed foods. Emily’s pain and energy level improved and Cam lost nearly 50 lbs in a year! He also saw a huge improvement in his blood pressure and cholesterol in just a month!
In the Spring of 2020 Emily and Cam began selling pasture-raised eggs to the public and in the summer they began raising meat chickens. They also began to sell the surplus of organic produce from their family garden. Due to exponential growth, they have added grass-finished lamb and pasture-raised pork

Practices
Eggs:
Eggs are pasture-raised, non-GMO fed, and antibiotic-free. They live outdoors 24/7 with access to plenty of sunshine, space to move around, and a clean natural diet. They move their laying hens to fresh pasture weekly. They co-labor with on the farm by eating insects, aerating the soil, and fertilizing the pastures.
Chicken:
Their chicken is pasture-raised, non-GMO fed, and antibiotic-free. From the time they are 2-3 weeks old, their meat chickens live outdoors 24/7 with access to plenty of sunshine, space to move around, and a clean natural diet. They are raised in portable shelters that are moved to fresh pasture daily. In addition to fresh grass, bugs and worms, they are given a high quality non-GMO feed.
Pork:
Their pork items are from from Bethel Trails Farm in Graycourt. Rest assured, they only partner with local farms who also use sustainable practices to produce their products.
