About Us
Patrick Settle represents the sixth generation of the Settle family to farm this land in Inman, SC. Since 1856, the Settle family has worked these acres, building a deep connection to both the land and their community. After spending years in corporate jobs, Patrick and his wife Mary decided it was time to return home and raise their daughter on the family farm. She now shows dairy cows and plans to become a large-animal veterinarian, continuing the family’s agricultural legacy to a 7th generation. Today, the Settles raise all-natural, grass-fed beef - some grass-finished and some grain-finished depending on the season - along with pasture-raised eggs. They primarily sell beef by portion of the cow and shared stories of customers coming out to the farm to choose the animal they wanted. Due to their operation and their partnership with the trusted processor Piedmont Custom Meats, they can ensure that what customers order is exactly what they receive, creating a high level of trust in the food they put on their tables. Patrick also shared how meaningful it has been to revive an old egg route through Spartanburg, something his family ran generations ago, now brought back to life through the Food Hub. We hope you enjoy getting to know another one of our beef producers. While it may be the same animal, the conversations and philosophies are different, but equally compelling. These hands have been working in Spartanburg County for a long time, and we’re proud to have them working with us today.
